Pete Rizzo, former editor-in-chief at major crypto news outlet CoinDesk, has begun a new place at cryptocurrency market Kraken.
Per a Jan. 15 announcement in Kraken,” Rizzo’s new function as Editor-at-Large will demand responsibility for content creation for the business’s new services and products.
Passing from CoinDesk along with the new job
Seeing the change in places, Rizzo stated”At this stage in my profession, I wanted the chance to use a bigger team that was attempting to get users and get folks interested in bitcoin and cryptocurrency.”
Rizzo, that left CoinDesk back in September, was instrumental to the organization’s editorial workplace for 6 decades.
Reports in the time linked the death to CoinDesk’s move into parent firm Digital Currency Group’s headquarter, a controversial movement that Rizzo and many others were stressed would undermine editorial integrity and standing. Other sources reported that Rizzo was allowed discuss longer-term problems with his direction.
Kraken’s statement of Rizzo’s hiring indicates growth to their current content creation — following on the heels of wider global growth across several sections of the United States-based firm.
Only yesterday, Cointelegraph reported on Kraken’s purchase of Bit Trade, Australia’s earliest crypto exchange. Last month, Kraken bought Circle’s over-the-counter trading desk. Back in March 2019, Kraken announced that a run of high-tech hires such as Matt Mason — previously Chief Content Officer in BitTorrent — as Chief Marketing Officer.
It remains to be seen just how much the accession of Rizzo into the staff will enhance Kraken’s presence inside the media, in addition to if this hire suggests a significant initiative at the organization’s advertising and content plan.
As of press time, Kraken hadn’t reacted to Cointelegraph’s request for comment. This guide will be updated pending an answer.
